Flash 8 Fade a MovieClip

In this flash 8 tutorial we are going to learn how to do a basic fade of a movieclip.
The first thing to do after you have created a new flash 8 file is to rename the layer to "square".
Make a MovieClip. Create a square, select all of it and hit F8 to create a new Symbol.
Select type MovieClip and give it a name, such as square_mc.

Select the MovieClip that we have just created and open the Properties Window and in the instances box type in "square_mc".
This is the standard practice for creating a MovieClip. Always follow this procedure.
Do not put anything else on this layer or the tween will be a mess.
Go to frame 20 on the square layer and hit key F6 to create a new keyframe.
Click on frame 1, then with the MovieClip selected go to Properties Window.
In the color field click on the dropdown box and select Alpha. Set Alpha to 0 percent.

Right click on frame 10( or anywhere between frame 2 and 19) and select "Create Motion Tween".
Hit Control + Enter to test. It should fade in and loop like a crazy thing.
Go to frame 60 and hit key F6 to create another keyframe.
